I’ve always loved you, Halloween, and this year you did not disappoint! The weather was perfect, the kids were happy, the costumes fit (well, maybe not for Wes) and I was again reminded how much I love our neighborhood.
Every year we co-host the “Dead End” Halloween party. We have it at our house, and everyone contributes fantastic food, drinks and treats for all. It’s a tradition that started 5 years ago, and was a way to get to know our new neighbors (we all moved in around the same time, and all had kids close in age). It started out small, and gets bigger every year. These friends are amazing. Their families are amazing! Our kids love their kids. How can you beat that?!
I’m keeping this post short, and will let the pictures do the talking. I will say that it felt “normal”. I don’t think I thought about PTHS once, and I don’t think I cursed it under my breath the whole night. Well, maybe once, I’m sure.
